Happy Birthday Zahrah!

Assalamualaikum :)

Happy Birthday to my dear closest friend since schooling years, ZAHRAH :)

now, there are many types of friends but zahrah, she's one of a kind. i dunno if she knows but i have admired her since school. i loved it that she has a great relationship with a lot of people and that she was excellent in her studies and to top it off, she possess leadership skills. you don't see many people like her these days :)

apart from that, this post is dedicate to zahrah [though it's late, sorryyy dear] because she's a friend that always made me see the light, always made me want to be a good girl, she's always, like the malay saying, mengajak ke arah kebaikan and i want to thank her for that and i know thanking won't be enough so i always pray for her and that only Allah can really repay for everything she's done to me :)

THANK YOU ZAHRAH, may Allah give you longevity and bless you always :)
i try not to sound cliche so i pray that zahrah will always be there for me especially when i'm in shah alam, that she doesn't forget me when there's an islamic program, that she always eat a lot but never get fat, that she always maintain that laugh she has but maybe not so loud, hehe, that she goes to indon and buy me stuffs and that one day, we can go sight seeing together and so many things :)

all the smileys are for you on your birthday this year from me, love you zahrah :))

Because i miss Mai Sis~

Assalamualaikum mai :)

so this post is for you...because i reallyyy miss you :'(

i have like TONS of assignments to do and 2 weeks to do so! i have been eating a lot, sleeping late, waking up early, talking more, OCD-ing more, getting paranoid! aaaaa!!! i don't think i have ever been like this before, and i know i'm making it sound so bad right now but i'm actually training myself to be cool, calm and collected, huhu..
(though i don't know if i'm succeeding or not :?)

nway mai, usually the free time i get is on the bus [since the car is in the workshop, if i'm not mistaken] and that time i used to listened to the ipod and i haven't deleted yours and hilmi's playlist {since it is the Ramadhan month} so i tend to layan blues jugakla time tu and look at the sky when the bus moves and i kinda reallyyy miss you then~

i guess, when i looked at the sky, and i see the clouds, the sun and at night, there's a full moon lately, i wonder whether you look at the sky too and think of me, and that maybe we have looked at it together, hehe ;)

mcm jiwang je kan but it's true because i miss you that bad~

it's not like if you're really here, i might sms you telling you about my day since we might both be busy but at least i know you're here and now you're not, it just feels different~

nway, last monday night, i had a breaking of fast ceremony with the vice chansellor of my university, you know, the third lady vc in a public university in the country and in that ceremony, there was a bestowment of awards to excellent students in academic and I WAS ONE OF THE RECIPIENT!!!!!!

i was reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy HAPPY mai, on top of the world, i told abah and mama and i was BEAMING all the wayyyyyyyy, wish i could have told you earlier because this is a reallyyyyyy GOOD news to me and i would have reallyyyy wanted to share it with you :)

i miss you mai and i hope you're fine, safe and comfortable there, i do so miss that place and well, at least you're there so enjoy and take care :))

Mai Sis went away already~

Assalamualaikum :)

yesterday, Saturday 22nd September 2007, started kinda hectic, with me having errands to do separately to mai who did her last minute shopping and then cooking an early buka puasa because planned to go and berbuka at the klia mosque. in the afternoon, relatives came to see mai because they wouldn't be able to make it to klia. and then the rush! to get ready to go to klia.

we arrived at the klia mosque right on time to get ready and wait for the azan Maghrib, the calling signifying it's time of the breaking of fast. it was a wonderfully magnificent moment for all of us because we sat at the mosque verandah and ate lasagna and nasi daging and getting all excited and then after maghrib, we left for klia.

so mai had a few briefing to attend to and so we waited...
and lepaking at the restaurant...
and then it was 10.40pm, the time to say goodbye because mai had to go in though her flight was 11.40pm.

i didn't want to say goodbye~
i didn't...
i just didn't...
but i had to and i let loose the tears :'(
because after abah mama, she's the closest to me, the very closest, my treasure box, my everything~

it's true what hilmi said, the separation is only temporary but it hurts~
my chest hurts because i miss her, i'm writing this only the morning after and my chest hurts because i miss her terribly :'(

i feel empty and i know technology is going to bridge the distance that keeps us apart but just like the song i dedicate to mai, menunggumu from chrisye feat peterpan-

bila rindu ini...menjadi milikmu...aku menunggumu...

the feeling that i miss her surpasses every other feelings :'(

i miss you mai~

The Dilemma That Was..

Assalamualaikum :)

so i had a reallyyyy pening-lalat dilemma that kept me troubled resulting in me eating a lot :p

it's just that i wanted badly to go home and spend time with my sis [plus my family for that matter] and i also felt bad if i missed too many classes. usually i would only miss 1 class per semester and never more than 2. and being indecisive, i just couldn't choose and constantly bugged my friends on the best decision, eh, if you were me ah, what would u do?!

and so this thursday, i'm at home after finally 'pejam mata & jalan ja', but somehow, there's a part of me that's always troubled and niggling me at the back of my mind, siggghhhh~

it's the 11th week of lecture and there's a lot of presentations going on and i felt like as if i would have missed quite a lot but there's no turning back now because you have to live with your decisions and i soooo gotta learn to make VERY GOOD choices!

anyway, last tuesday night, a class of mine suddenly had an on-the-spot presentation. now, i was sitting in front and sympathizing with the groups that had to go in front of the mass lecture (around 80 tesl students). my friend sitting next to me and i kept muttering, i wouldn't want to be presenting in front of all these people! and ooo, they must hate the person asking the questions! besides that, i also noticed the lecturer wasn't in such a good mood and this is the first time i have seen her like that because she is my favourite lecturer this semester {or maybe starting from this semester, she will be my favourite lecturer} well, just when i thought the presentations were over, my name and the other members of my group (there were 3 of us) were called to present! now, did that send shivers down my spine! i was utterly shocked but knew that we had no choice. and coincidently, my group members and i had reached a consensus beforehand that it was me who would do the talking! so with heart thumping, trembling hands and a quavering voice, i held my head high, made eye contact with the audience and talk while my mind does pep-talk [overcome your nervousness! you must be condifent!] over and over again!

when the lecturer said, ok, comments anyone...
i could just merely make out the sound of grasshoppers...huhu (joking)
but nobody ask anything and then the lecturer spoke...
i think...
that the three of you...
did an EXCELLENT job!!!!

aaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! Alhamdulillah!!!!!! i was BEAMING!!!!! i was GRINNING all the wayyyyy until the end of class because she was my favourite lecturer, an inspirational one, hard to impress but my group sure made an impression and that all the creative juices that i had channelled for that presentation was worth it! i am soooo GRATEFUL :))))

Ramadhan do bring better days~
i'm not saying this because of that, but many things happened so far because i believed it is the aura of the holy month. and because i want to do more extra bonuses stuffs to celebrate the month, InsyaAllah :))))

Welcome Oh Holy Month!

firstly, HAPPY FASTING in the holiest month, the month of Ramadhan :)

i started fairly good ( if i do say so myself :p ) because i only missed 1 Tarawikh prayers due to replacement class. the food and beverages at the college bazaar has been different from last year therefore there are many more varieties. plus, the food has been glorious but i think that it's getting more costly and i don't really want to spend more than rm5 a day..

i joined Tadarus after Tarawikh prayers at the surau every night just like last year where i'll be grouped and each group will be given at least 6 juz to finish until everyone goes back for Raya. overall, i pray hard that i escalate my ibadah more just to make this Ramadhan more meaningful because every year, you have to renew your determination and intention and that you choose whether you want to let Ramadhan pass by or make it worthwhile ;)

nway, mai, you're going to go...and that makes me reallyyyyy sad :(

on friday, coincidently, i have a presentation for my 3pm class. this is group work so i just can't ditch on my group members but i get sooooo sad thinking that it means less time with you because i probably have to take the 4pm bus to kl meaning that i'll reach shah alam around 6pm something :'(

what could i do???!!!

some people said that if they were me, they would just go..
some people said that if they were me, they plead that my group becomes the last group to present..(but there's someone in my group who would definitely protest on this suggestion)
some people said that if they were me, they don't care about obtaining an A..
some people said that if they were me, they...
i don't know and somehow, they're not me...

to read or not to read..

Assalamualaikum :)

so i ponder..

my dad reads a lot and he used to read everytime he has a free time especially when he was young. he always used to say to us kids that any bit of spare time he gets, he would religiously read and read all kinds of books from fiction to non-fiction (but i think 90% of the books he reads are non-fiction).

and so i loved this kind of example, and i would follow though not as disciplined as i would have liked but i try to read every free time i get especially since i'm a youth and i'm still studying so i should really read and just read! so that left me wondering...

most of the time, as a student, i have to do a lot of waiting, for the bus, for the lecturer, for peers, for whatever and usually i almost always have a book with me but...

SOMETIMES, i just tend to not read and rather watch the world! reallyyy i do!
i find my surroundings amusing and interesting and i would just let my eyes linger on whatever scene is taking place...

for instance, when i'm waiting for the bus, i tend to watch the many antics of students walking by and sometimes it just tickles me on the many characteristics a person has! or sometimes when i'm in the bus and the bus is passing the hills and valleys of Proton City and the scene is just breathtakingly beautiful therefore i would tend to watch all the greens and the clouds and everything despite of the calling in my head that i should just open the book and read...

i dunno...there's a tug-of-war within me that i should just read all the time [nerdlike or not as it sounds], but i just love to watch more of the view but only sometimes...
hopefully most of the time, i READ and KEEP ON READING ;)
