Planning & Packing

Bismillah, Assalamualaikum Myspace Icons

Thank you Nadz for coming by, I really appreciate you talking non-stop explaining in detail about what I should do and shouldn't do and where I should go and should buy and all those should's!

So after how many years of not travelling, there are somethings that I only know now:

The RM that I want to change with the licensed money changer can be negotiate! and I thought it was fixed! So there is a need to survey all the nearest licensed money changers and flutter eyelashes and pout so that the person would just bring it down a notch, huhu

The difference between a No Rinse Hand Sanitiser and a Rinse one is that you need water for the latter, duh! Ok2, actually, its better to get a No Rinse one since the need to always prepare for situations whereby there would be lack of water. Moreover, I would always be on-the-go so I could constantly rub my hands together without getting it wet and thinking of tissues.

I only need 3 pairs of pants and perhaps double that amount of tops! Wah! and I tot more is less! :p and 1 pair of comfy-go-everywhere and anywhere-sneakers!

Selecting easily mix and match hijab is preferable because I don't have to trouble myself to iron and I can wear it almost always for any occasions. But the thing is, I want for my hijab to match everything or else I won't look good in the pictures! Nadz said that plain black and cream are ideal but plain is sooo boring...hmm...

Sightseeing at night is not advisable and I thought we could still paint the town red until midnight! This is because of the caution that there might be drunks and only people who go clubbing and pubs would be out and about during the night.

I MUST! no, NEED to learn to be good at reading MAPS!! This reminds me of the book, 'Why Men Won't Ask For Directions & Why Women Can't Read Maps! Even as I look at it, I squirm and my eyes squint at all those coloured lines. All I could see was the main attractions and where to shop! LOL :p

Furthermore, I also need to learn simple questions like;
How much is this?
Where is the nearest toilet?
Where is this place? (pointing at the map) :p

There won't be much rice but that's good news coz it's time to eat bread and mostly tuna which means less gobbling up and more diet-ing!

I still don't know how to walk through those doors at the airport! :s

I remember those days

Bismillah, Assalamualaikum Myspace Icons

My youngest sister went for her orientation at the university of her choice which is just so nearby that she could save stocks of clothes to be washed in the washing machine every week, huhu

That morning, I remember not wanting to wake up so early and accompany my mom to take littlest little sister there, I mean, it was so near and it's not that my mom wasn't familiar with the place...

But then something snapped within me, like when Bella became a vampire she nearly snapped at Jacob and Emmett! and suddenly I had flashbacks like when Bella started to remember her human memories as she became a vampire! I began to remember of all the times my grumpy little sister would tag along with my parents to take me to my institution of higher learning and I didn't have 1 mind you, I had 2 places that I went for my degree and my sis would lalala follow, of course, it did help that she would get treats as she is with my parents, hehe

So I didn't have the heart not to be the big bossy sister that she expects me to be on her first day at university.

and her experience made me reminiscence those first few days far away from home coming to a strange land for the first time, as I made sure all my documents were intact in a clear folder and the certificates in another clear folder and all those 10 photostet copies of every documents in a large envelope and I had to have a pen plus enough passport pictures to go around.

and my sister only had 1 big fat large envelope and clumsily pasting pictures in her hostel room to only 4 documents, huh! How times have changed!

Another FRESH memory that sprung up was meeting my BFFJ! It was jodoh at first sight because it most definitely wasn't love, LOL :p

She was nerdy with BIG glasses and when I talked to her, I remembered her gaping at me! I could only recalled that we introduced ourselves but that I did most of the talking *grins sheepishly*

It was fate that brought us together because I didn't have a roommate back then and she had a senior for a roommate therefore she could moved in with me and VOILA! as they say is history!

and it astounds me reallyyy when people become startled and surprised that KAMILAH & I have become roommates for 6 SOLID YEARS! What is so ________ [fill in the blanks yourself]

about that revelation? reallyyyy now... Myspace Icons

I also remembered that most of my course mates were taken aback when I spoke English all the time and likewise with me that they did not! Apparently, they were still adjusting to being in the TESL course unlike me who wanted this course from the very beginning! LOL :p

These are my main recollections looking back 6 years ago and my littlest little sister has just entered while I am leaving and starting a whole new life.

It feels weird but then again, everything always does, hehe MySpace

That we might make it a message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.

Can't get enuff of King Julian!

Bismillah, Assalamualaikum MySpace

A friend of mine have just watched Madagascar 2, wuu, a lil overdue duncha think?

But hey, better l8 than never and at least when that friend of mine starts mentioning it, then I would start laughing hilariously silly over King Julian, that awkward, dorky and freaking funny lemur!

There are 2 scenes that I actually replay over and over again laughing myself silly:

The 1st scene is when Melman thinks he's dying and King Julian gives an awfully dorky advice:

"Well, you gotta march right up to this woman, right? You look her right in the eye, you lean forward, right? Just a little - almost all the way. hmm. then you let her, like, lean forward, just another little bit until you're just a lips' distance away from each other. hmm. And then you just tell her...how much you hate her."

"well, actually, it's love."

dang!   [Laughter erupts!

The 2nd scene is when King Julian proposes that an animal should be sacrificed to appeal the Rain God for rain:

tak tahanla :p

Let's make a fanclub! :p

Wishes for you (",)

Bismillah, Assalamualaikum Myspace Icons

So here are 3 wishes for you, you and yes, you!

Happy Mother's Day

especially to Mama but now I tend to just call her Ma, hehe :p

I love Mama so much and isn't it just funny that every child or specifically, almost every daughter would fiercely say that 'I hope I don't end up being like my mother!' but then at the end of the far corner of the heart, there's that niggling feeling that you do want to turn out to be like your mother especially if your mother has it all and that perfect life that you know you would just want for yourself. Of course you wouldn't want to be like your mother if she was a drug addict or some stigma that religion and society frowns upon but if the fact that all she does is nag, you still say you hope you don't blabber that much when you become a mother later on in life but then again, you might just do! Scary huh but the thing is, you mother was right when she did it so stomp your feet all you want and pout but mother's do know best!

Now that Mama has a child that has just finished studying and waiting to work, that daughter of hers would like to start treating Mama to something special later in life but right about now, I should just cook for her good heartening meals every day when she comes back after work, huhu

Happy Teacher's Day

I had loved it when I was a teacher and an educator but don't hate me when I am not one later on in life. Regardless of what happened, I would want to contribute to schools especially the rural ones and even when I am not a teacher in the future, I would always be an educator and am making sure of that as I am even working on that! Pray for me peeps!

I dunno this is an issue or not but I really would like to say that we have to train our children not to give gifts that won't be of much use. When I was doing my praticum, I received like 5 ornaments where you could put 1 pen or pencil with a dolphin sculptured to it and I was befuddled at what to do with so many similar items. I am not that cruel but could I possibly give it away to my future students? Please give me your views on this because it's not a major dilemma, just something that would make my conscience crystal clear, huhu

Happy Birthday
you know you
so belated
but its true
you're not perfect
but you're still cool
and I am not either
and we're such fools
does it really matter
as long as you're here
to claim your gift
I will give it to you
so Happy Birthday
on Thursday
when I was driving
taking you with me
it didn't rain
nor did it shine
but your birthday
made me rhyme
so Happy Birthday

At Home After 6 Years

Bismillah, Assalamualaikum Myspace Icons

So I am at home if there's anyone or anything that needs me here in Shah Alam, hehe MySpace

There is soooo much to tell that I do not know where to start!

All I know is that I have to check my emails until its done, go through all the social networking sites I have signed up to and read ma mates' blogs.

and visit this current apple of my eye, please refrain yourself from that g e r a m feeling you have right now!

Her name is Wan Nur Alia Batrisha and she's my new cousin who lives in section 7. She's an exemplary baby as she doesn't cry much and all she does is stare and stare and gurgle and stare again wide-eyed and always looks cute, because she is cute and adorable, I can't stand not watching her!

A lot of things have happened in my life lately, cewah, like anyone wanted to know :p

I was the editor of the Kaleidoscope bulletin in conjunction with The National English Language Camp in Jitra and I am soooo in love with the job even though its pretty much a strain!

You know the movie, The Devil Wears Prada where Miranda Priestly has this 'book' that Emily is supposed to give at night and when it was Andrea's turn to give it, Emily warned her not to do anything but just put the book right at its place, well, something like this, I can't find the right video for it in youtube.

When I was working as a small-scale editor, I had the book too! A book where I did my layouts and drafted all what I wanted to put and say and ideas and pictures and stuffs and whenever I looked back at it, it felt sooo cool and I felt like a Vogue Editor, haha, okay, this is over the top but hey, I don't care coz it was my time to actually take pride in what I did and I loved it! and of course I had loved working with my team of graphic designer, Ridhwan, photographers and reporters, Lothfi, Gda, Nani and Zul, so Thank You!

After being an editor, I was a storyteller at my class Storytelling Concert [I came out with this name] and it was a blast the night my class performed although I was really fed up with rehearsals and practices because some things or some people were just being stupeed and yes, stupidity happens in life so very unfortunate.

I deserve this break so there and another one MySpace
