The Dilemma That Was..

Assalamualaikum :)

so i had a reallyyyy pening-lalat dilemma that kept me troubled resulting in me eating a lot :p

it's just that i wanted badly to go home and spend time with my sis [plus my family for that matter] and i also felt bad if i missed too many classes. usually i would only miss 1 class per semester and never more than 2. and being indecisive, i just couldn't choose and constantly bugged my friends on the best decision, eh, if you were me ah, what would u do?!

and so this thursday, i'm at home after finally 'pejam mata & jalan ja', but somehow, there's a part of me that's always troubled and niggling me at the back of my mind, siggghhhh~

it's the 11th week of lecture and there's a lot of presentations going on and i felt like as if i would have missed quite a lot but there's no turning back now because you have to live with your decisions and i soooo gotta learn to make VERY GOOD choices!

anyway, last tuesday night, a class of mine suddenly had an on-the-spot presentation. now, i was sitting in front and sympathizing with the groups that had to go in front of the mass lecture (around 80 tesl students). my friend sitting next to me and i kept muttering, i wouldn't want to be presenting in front of all these people! and ooo, they must hate the person asking the questions! besides that, i also noticed the lecturer wasn't in such a good mood and this is the first time i have seen her like that because she is my favourite lecturer this semester {or maybe starting from this semester, she will be my favourite lecturer} well, just when i thought the presentations were over, my name and the other members of my group (there were 3 of us) were called to present! now, did that send shivers down my spine! i was utterly shocked but knew that we had no choice. and coincidently, my group members and i had reached a consensus beforehand that it was me who would do the talking! so with heart thumping, trembling hands and a quavering voice, i held my head high, made eye contact with the audience and talk while my mind does pep-talk [overcome your nervousness! you must be condifent!] over and over again!

when the lecturer said, ok, comments anyone...
i could just merely make out the sound of grasshoppers...huhu (joking)
but nobody ask anything and then the lecturer spoke...
i think...
that the three of you...
did an EXCELLENT job!!!!

aaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! Alhamdulillah!!!!!! i was BEAMING!!!!! i was GRINNING all the wayyyyy until the end of class because she was my favourite lecturer, an inspirational one, hard to impress but my group sure made an impression and that all the creative juices that i had channelled for that presentation was worth it! i am soooo GRATEFUL :))))

Ramadhan do bring better days~
i'm not saying this because of that, but many things happened so far because i believed it is the aura of the holy month. and because i want to do more extra bonuses stuffs to celebrate the month, InsyaAllah :))))

Thank you kak aalaa :)

i have really trained myself to overcome my nervousness everytime i do presentation but somehow, when it's sudden and in front of 80 students, all those anxiety symptoms flood in and i just hate it!

i want to overcome that! most definitely!
