to read or not to read..

Assalamualaikum :)

so i ponder..

my dad reads a lot and he used to read everytime he has a free time especially when he was young. he always used to say to us kids that any bit of spare time he gets, he would religiously read and read all kinds of books from fiction to non-fiction (but i think 90% of the books he reads are non-fiction).

and so i loved this kind of example, and i would follow though not as disciplined as i would have liked but i try to read every free time i get especially since i'm a youth and i'm still studying so i should really read and just read! so that left me wondering...

most of the time, as a student, i have to do a lot of waiting, for the bus, for the lecturer, for peers, for whatever and usually i almost always have a book with me but...

SOMETIMES, i just tend to not read and rather watch the world! reallyyy i do!
i find my surroundings amusing and interesting and i would just let my eyes linger on whatever scene is taking place...

for instance, when i'm waiting for the bus, i tend to watch the many antics of students walking by and sometimes it just tickles me on the many characteristics a person has! or sometimes when i'm in the bus and the bus is passing the hills and valleys of Proton City and the scene is just breathtakingly beautiful therefore i would tend to watch all the greens and the clouds and everything despite of the calling in my head that i should just open the book and read...

i dunno...there's a tug-of-war within me that i should just read all the time [nerdlike or not as it sounds], but i just love to watch more of the view but only sometimes...
hopefully most of the time, i READ and KEEP ON READING ;)
